Ywach is dead and Ichigo is officially free to persue a human life. Or at least he should be. However with his powers exceeding his abillity to control them, returning is too great a risk.
Now under the supervision of the Gotei 13 and at the mercy of Central 46, Ichigo tries to find a way back to his family and friends. Who would've thought that an old enemy would be his greatest ally in this mission. -

“Wait,” Leon says tiredly, the voice of a man who’s been pulling Bryan away from danger’s edge all night.

Mitya slowly opens his eyes, mouth dragged open by a large yawn. He blinks and between his eyelids, Valeriy’s stern expression comes into focus.
Eyes narrowed and half-obfuscated by his dark bangs, Valeriy blinks back at him. It’s Valeriy’s only acknowledgement that Mitya is awake.
“Have you been watching me sleep, Sarge?” Mitya smiles through another yawn, raising his hand until he covers his mouth in practiced politeness. His scarf follows suit, mimicking the gesture and covering both his hand and his mouth with large finger-like tassels.
Valeriy doesn’t react to the question or the misapplied title.
“I’ll take that as a ‘yes,’” Mitya says, on the off-chance that it will coax some sort of reaction out from Valeriy’s steely exterior.
It doesn’t.
At their third show together at the Korolevskiy Theatre, Mitya realizes that these are more like dates than any actual date he’s been on in his life.

He's never expected anything good to fall in his lap, so he considers himself lucky he gets to spend so much time with Odette and Vodyanitsa at all, pushing down any feelings that he might want more — especially since Odette and Vodyanitsa have their own budding romance together.
Or: Five times Alyosha convinced himself he's just their "friend", and the one time Odette had enough.Alternatively titled "the third wheel doesn't realize he's already part of the tricycle"
