Summary
“It doesn’t matter, because I’m taken!” Ratio clarified, hoping the lie wasn’t obvious on his face. Neither Aventurine or Topaz seemed to buy that though, as both raised their eyebrows at him, exchanging a glance. “What? It’s true.”
“Oh yeah? Who?” Topaz said it more as a statement than a question, already confident she wouldn’t get an actual answer. And to be fair, at first Ratio didn’t have an answer. Then, like a thought sent from Nous themselves, he had the best idea.
“Screwllum,” Ratio said confidently, turning to grab the construct's arm, dragging him to stand by his side, and hooking their arms together.

Summary
Ratio had been feeling sick for a while. His throat was itchy and sore, and no medicine seemed to stop his constant coughing. It disrupted his classes for a couple of days when he stayed home to ensure it wasn’t contagious, but he was soon able to go back to teaching, albeit with a cough interrupting his lecture every couple of minutes.
He honestly thought that it was just a bad cold that wouldn’t go away.
The purple petal that landed on Aventurine’s desk a month later proved that assumption incorrect.

Summary
Trying to sit up, he lost his balance a little. It was no surprise, for when he looked slightly to his left, all he found was the stump of his amputated left arm. Good, he thought. At least the doctors here weren’t totally incapable. If they waited for Ratio to wake up before deciding to amputate his arm, who was to say that its blackened, corrosive state—not unlike the tar that insect spat up—wouldn’t travel upwards and infect his whole body? It was the logical thing to do.
Ratio made a choice and lost an arm for his troubles. This will impact his life moving forward, but not all the consequences are detrimental. At least not if Screwllum has anything to say about it.

Summary
Sena had thought that he had his crush on Shin mostly under control. He figured it would always BE there, but he thought that their time apart while he studied in the US had done SOMETHING there for a while to help him not be completely embarrassing every time he was around Shin. Something to help mature that crush into, you know, an unspoken could-have-been like in his mom's romance novels (which he had definitely never read in a fit of pent-up romantic frustration after coming to terms with the real reason why Shin was always shirtless and handsome in his fantasies), and not the juvenile rabbit-pulsed sweaty-hands'd tongue-tied infatuation that he was familiar with.
He'd thought that, and then second year of university came, and he started failing biology.
