Summary
When Harry is bitten by a werewolf in his third year, his life is turned upside down as he struggles to navigate a prejudiced world. Due to the threat he would be to his relatives, Severus Snape is assigned as his new guardian, and together, they both face fears neither were prepared for. A Sevitus story.
An idea I had been working on with some inspiration from a prompt on Potions and Snitches that helped me fill in finer details: JAWorley Harry is a Werewolf: I want to read a non-slash werewolf story in which Harry is bitten and is a werewolf but nobody knows. He's hiding it (at least for the first third or even half of the story). All other details up to you!

Summary
Following the summer break with his new guardian, twelve year old Harry is returning to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to begin his second year. But with the bloodwards transferred from his relatives’ home significantly weaker, it hasn’t been quite the fairytale ending he’d hoped for, and now there’s trouble brewing at Hogwarts too. Harry must navigate both paths simultaneously, but the darker forces at play soon find him questioning who he can really trust.

After Molly Weasley reports shocking abuse on the part of Petunia and Vernon Dursley, Albus Dumbledore makes an official decision to Turn A Blind Eye. After all, the Dursleys *are* the key to Harry's Blood Wards. Though McGonagall is appalled, she is ultimately unwilling to take a stand against Albus.
Enraged at this dual neglect, Severus Snape decides to take matters into his own hands. Little does he know that his attempts to modify Harry's Blood Wards will result in *accidentally adopting* The Boy Who Lived. Shocked and horrified, Severus is left with no choice but to move forward as best he can. After all, there's no use crying over spilled potions. . .
This fic is set just after the Weasley siblings rescue Harry from the barred window/canned soup/cat flap situation in Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets. It is broadly inspired by many of my favorite Snape/Harry Adoption Fics, which I have gathered into the collection Snape_Harry_FoundFamily. Thanks, all y'all, for creating such delightful fics.
