Summary
An old FIA rule says that unmated omegas aren't allowed to race in any category of motorsport.
Because of that, Charles Leclerc has been hiding as a beta since he first presented as an omega-until a breakthrough heat destroys how hard he's worked and reveals his designation.
Ferrari, facing a major loss in sponsorship money, offer him a choice: leave Ferrari and motorsport forever, or agree to an invite only auction for the rights to mate him, with proceeds filling the hole in the budget.
Charles comes up with a plan to save himself, get an alpha he trusts, get Ferrari's money back, and keep his seat.
Unfortunately, Max Verstappen comes up with a plan, too.

Carlos’ curiosity had taken over, and he had found the article again, just to check the author.
Jannik Sinner.
So that was the stranger’s name, then.
His thumb had flown over the name, before clicking on it.
According to his profile, Jannik wasn’t only a tennis journalist. He had many contributions for the Formula 1 section, and also a few for the downhill skiing one. Most articles he had written, though, were about tennis, seemingly regularly for a few years. Carlos had taken a quick look over them, and had realized a few of those articles were about him- or, at least, talking about him. He had clicked on one of them, reading it quickly, before realizing they had been written with the same tone: always laudatory of his opponents, always harsh on him.
OR. Carlos meets a red-haired stranger in an elevator. Little does he know it's going to change his life forever.

Summary
Daniel and Michelle had bunk beds when they were kids. Daniel used to kick the mattress to piss off Michelle right before she went to sleep. It was always hard, Michelle’s body weighing it down, Daniel having to fit her foot between the wooden planks. Now, when Daniel kicks, she sees white light coming through, the ceiling lit up by the moon outside.
Daniel doesn’t mean to wonder if Max would fit in the top bunk. But she still wishes she had the guts to ask.
