Summary
Frodo is dared by his friends to write a letter to the King Under the Mountain. Easy enough. It wasn’t like he was going to get anything back, the King was long dead, just like his Uncle Bilbo had told him countless times with each retelling of the adventure.
So one could imagine the young Hobbit’s surprise when he received a raven at his window with a sealed note attached to it’s leg.

Summary
Bilbo Baggins, at the ripe age of 131, lay on his death bed. He had been peaceful, living the rest of his days in Rivendell. He lays down to go to bed and wakes up in bag end, he had woken up 50 years old again. When Bilbo Baggins awakes from his rest, he sees that he is back on the day his life changed forevermore. And he realizes he must go through all of the grief and pain that he's already seen.
OR
Bilbo Baggins somehow wakes up 81 years younger, in Bag End rather than Valinor.
