He brushed back the loose bangs that had fallen over Lucifer’s face. The strands slid easily between his fingers, soft as silk. But when his fingertips touched the smooth skin of Lucifer’s forehead, he paused.
Alastor frowned.
He was used to Lucifer’s warmth. The King of Hell ran hot—unnaturally so. His skin often carried a heat that bordered on burning, a constant reminder of what he was. A star among shadows. Even through fabric, that warmth lingered.
Today it was gone.
Lucifer’s skin felt cool. Too cool.***

Summary
It was supposed to be straightforward. A casual arrangement that benefited them both. Lucifer would get the intimacy he’d been craving since Lilith left. And Alastor…well, he would get some sorta power high from fucking the King of Hell.
But, of course, nothing in Lucifer’s existence was ever that easy, was it?
Or.

Summary
Hurried footsteps approached him, heels clacking on the tile. He flinched, hating himself for it, and braced for the touch, a hand in his hair, or perhaps caressing his face, or running tenderly along his side.
None came. There was still a voice, but it sounded like it was coming to him through an ocean of water, waves crashing in his ears and obscuring most of the words. He did his best to listen, to make out meaning from the garbled sounds, and was able to pick out a few pieces-
“-there? Please- can hear- to me- blood coming from?- me, Dad!”

Lucifer tries to take a shower. It goes just about as poorly as it possibly could.

Summary
The past month with Alastor had been some of the best in Lucifer’s obnoxiously long existence.
Lucifer decided to help Alastor out during his rut, and, since then, the two seemed to spend more time together than they ever had before. Absolutely nothing could ruin their budding relationship.
Lucifer just isn’t sure why he’s felt so sick recently.
