Summary
“Oh my god! I haven’t seen this in forever!” Wei Wuxian’s voice rang through the apartment.
From a box that was buried in the depths of his closet, he held in front of him an old cheer uniform. Ten years old and in relatively good condition, a few stitches popped loose and the white had dirt stains but other than that it was still wearable.
Wearable. Hm… Wei Wuxian thought curiously. He held the top up to his chest and assessed the sizing. It looked like he still might be able to squeeze into the top. He threw that half onto his bed and stood up to also look at the bottoms. Also looked a little snug but still doable. He checked the clock on the bedside table. Four o’clock. Lan Zhan would be home in about an hour. That’s enough time to play some dress up and take a walk down memory lane.

Wei Wuxian find something from the past and Lan Zhan catches him in it.

A warm hand landed on the small of his back, pressing him back down. “Don’t move,” Lan Wangji said sternly.
His deep, quiet voice barely seemed to stir the air. But since the room was basically soundless, utterly silent, Wei Wuxian heard him very well. "Hush," Hua Cheng gently commanded. "This is your own fault. You asked me to come here. You toyed with me. All because you wanted to be held down and fucked. So insatiable, aren't you, gege? This was your plan, wasn't it?"
"Yes," Xie Lian admitted, almost afraid Hua Cheng might take it all away if he dared deny it. His breaths were ragged, and his body shook, but Xie Lian did all he could to stay still, knowing that fighting it would only encourage Hua Cheng to make him wait even longer. The look on Hua Cheng's face was almost predatory; he'd caught his prey and was enjoying playing with his meal. Barely audibly, Xie Lian breathed, "Fuck…"
"Tsk tsk," Hua Cheng clicked his tongue disapprovingly despite his complacent smile. "Such a dirty mouth. What happened to those princely manners?" He sighed dramatically. "What am I going to do with you?"

Xie Lian has spent the last year waiting for Hua Cheng to come back to him. During their time apart he had plenty of time to think through his feelings on his cultivation path and come to terms with his desires.
"Xie Lian had spent 800 years following every rule that was given to him at the Holy Royal Temple. 800 years repressing every desire he had until the only parts of himself that were left were the parts that served others.
He likely would have continued to live like that forever if Hua Cheng hadn’t pulled him out of that life. Xie Lian had spent more time then he cared to admit thinking about things like this during the year he waited for Hua Cheng to reconstitute. "
