Mike knows that he’s staring, that his jaw has dropped from shock, and most ridiculously of all in the silence that follows Harvey’s declaration the only thing Mike can hear in his head is Mary Poppins’ voice saying close your mouth please, Michael, we are not a codfish.
So Mike makes the concerted effort to close his mouth, and then after a few more painfully awkward seconds Mike says, “I’m sorry, can you repeat that?”

Summary
Deep had shaved—his face, his body, his head. He looked like a shell. Heavy bags colored under his eyes and his torso… Homelander avoided acknowledging Deep's gills whenever possible. That said, he had still seen Deep's gills more than once and knew what they were supposed to look like—and it was not the dark red bruising that marred his left side.
“What the fuck happened to you?” Homelander demanded.
“Nothing,” Deep mumbled and scooted past Homelander to get to the bedroom.
(or, Homelander visits Deep in Sandusky after he is assaulted by the fan girl and helps him though it...)

Summary
Jack Abbot is beyond exhausted when he finds a med student crying in the hallway. So far past dealing with the crying that he tries to convince the med student to a marriage of convenience just to stop the tears. The longer he thinks on it though, the more he realizes that marrying the little mouse, Dennis Whitaker, might actually make sense.
Robby is convinced Jack is having a mid life crisis. Or a nervous breakdown. Or petty revenge for his disappointment in Robby sleeping with Collins. Regardless, he doesn’t know how to help the med student Jack is marrying.
Dennis can’t keep doing this. He’s homeless, broke, and about to have to drop out of med school when he’s so close to finishing. If an ER attending is going to offer a guest room to crash in and covering the expenses of med school, he might just go ahead and marry him. He can always figure things out later, right?
