Summary
Benson walks slowly, like he’s not about to drag Randy into the worst day of his life, like he’s not about to set off a chain of events which will lead to Benson lying still and bloody in a dirty parking lot.
Randy wants to vomit. It feels so real.

Summary
Randy blinks owlishly. The image stays the same.
Long, white beard. A red hat with a little ball at the end, a rounded gut wrapped in a matching red velvet coat. He looks wrong out here, a bright stab of color on a drab background, like blood against the slushy, gray snow.
And then Santa tucks his beard under his chin and lights a cigarette.
(OR: Randy gets a job at the mall during the holidays.)

Summary
“Hmpf,” Robby says, after the first run-through on Monday morning when Frank has felt like a fucking pervert for running his hands down Mel’s soft side, over and over again, because the choreography requires it. It didn’t really help that he couldn’t sleep last night, feeling itchy and hot under the covers.
He’d tried the dancer’s version of counting sheep, blocking the ballet in his mind, going through all his steps.
He was just waiting in the wings, yam-pam-pam, Prokofiev’s score playing in his mind, watching Juliet and Paris dance at the ball. Juliet is polite, but bored. Yolanda always plays the bored part really well.
But then, thinking of how Juliet needs to slips out of Paris' hands on the beat and turn towards Romeo, it was suddenly Mel's face that looked at him expectantly, a soft flush on her cheeks.
Yikes.
Or: Royal Ballet principal Yolanda Garcia gets injured and Frank Langdon needs a new partner. Enter Mel King, a recent transfer from Pittsburgh Ballet.
