Missing arms, shared silences, and a slow, aching realization that maybe “friends” was never going to be enough.

“No matter what,” Naruto says, angling his head so Sasuke can really see him. So he can really understand. “I’d do it again.”
Sasuke stops moving.
Naruto looks at him fully. “All of it.”
And Naruto says it like it is not a debt. Like Sasuke does not have to pay him back by staying.
