Hi yeah no I have no idea what compelled me to just start this fic but some people in Nom’s chat may remember me and another chatter known here on ao3 as SoupCam making up a random au in the middle of stream one day… I got the attack of motivation to start writing that and welp here we are.
I don’t know what I’m doing; this is just Happening Now I Guess, so, like Salvation, let’s figure it out together, shall we?
Nominal, when saving 4C, does not return to Blue with him, instead choosing to run to Red.
This… has consequences.

Summary
Nom was fading. He could feel it as he watched the three people closest to him stand in front of the pale oak that'd sprung up from the place where he died. Even as he watched with a sad sort of smile as they ran their fingers over the solid bark, he could tell that the final threads connecting him to this realm were snapping. It was time for him to let them go.
And so when his ghostly blue light dimmed, and his vision began to darken, he didn’t fight it.
When Nom opened his eyes again, it was with a kind of surprise. He’d never been one to believe in an afterlife. He didn’t want to think about where he might end up after the monstrosities he’d committed. Yet here he was.
But where was “here”?

Summary
What would you do if you were stuck in a time loop?
Because 4C is clearly not doing well mentally.
He died multiple times and then came back, only to repeat it again and see all the attempts he made in previous time loops back to square one.
He suffers alone with memories of the future and the deaths of his friends in the future that never happened to them. He alone bears those memories.
And now he just wanted to take a break from the loop. He just wanted to stop looping and watch his friends die in front of him.
He will tried to rest but still keeping his friends safe in the shadows this time.
