“Aren’t you supposed to be a demon?” Jayce looks the decidedly humanoid figure up and down. The demon (if that is indeed what he is) arrows his eyes. The strange, seductive glamour around him wavers.
“I am a demon. A tentacle demon, if we are going to be technical about it.”
“It’s just… You don’t look like a tentacle demon.”
“Oh, I am sorry, let me just—” The self-proclaimed tentacle demon rolls his eyes. In the next moment, his form seems to unfurl, and he unleashes his— well, his tentacles. His sclera darken to a deep, inky black, and his shadow fills the room. If the demon’s expression weren’t so deadpan, Jayce might have pissed himself in fear. As it is, the demon’s tentacles wiggle limply in a poor approximation of jazz hands, as if to say ‘ta-da!’
Slow, horrible realization creeps over Jayce. He just microaggressed a demon. He's a monster. Worse, he’s… rude.

They say that when Hanguang-Jun emerged from seclusion, three years after the fall of Yiling-Laozu, the moon had missed him so much that it sent one of its own children to his side, to ensure he was never alone and despairing again. They say that a vengeful spirit bound itself to Hanguang-Jun at Nightless City, and he had to disappear for three years in order to wrestle it into submission and forge it into a weapon for good. They even say that the soft-spoken figure beside Hanguang-Jun, swathed and masked in white, is Yiling-Laozu himself, forced into servitude for a hundred years to atone for his crimes.
Whatever the truth, only the reclusive Lan family know the secrets of the shadow bathed in moonlight who never leaves Hanguang-Jun's side, and as with all of their secrets, they have never shared them with a living soul. A recently dead soul, however, might have a chance…[Podfic version]

She stares blankly ahead.
“About Viktor,” Jayce clarifies when the statue does not react. “My lab partner.”
OR
Jayce realizes he's horny for Viktor. Which is fine, really. He's managing. But after Viktor doesn't join him at the Piltover Academy End of Year Ball, Jayce has one-too-many drinks and ends up trashed. Which is also fine.
Until it's not. Because Viktor shows up after all. Surely the Boys of Progress can keep it together? (And if they can't, you can bet there's gonna be lots of secret mutual pining and drunken chaos until they get their shit together)
