Bangtan were the Crown's set of six elite Sentinels.
Second only to the Crown, they were the heads of Planet Terra's military, wielding a military with hundreds of thousands of spaceships as they wished.
They were called "Generals" but they were so much more than that- they were astrophysicists, engineers, politicians, doctors, scientists, spies, diplomats. Formed by the bleeding edge of genetic modification, Bangtan were practically unstoppable.
While they were almost super-human, their Guides were most definitively not. Bangtan burned through Guides like cigarettes. No one ever lasted longer than a year, before becoming sickly ill and passing away soon after.
Cadet Jeon Jungkook is the exception.

Jungkook’s parents had always been very open about the fact that they struck a deal with the faeries in exchange for his delivery to them when he was just a newborn.
Too open.
The moment he turned eighteen he ran, before the faeries could find him and return him to the faerie realm. Always moving, never staying in one place. But then he fell into a group of people that welcomed him with open arms, who loved him for who he was, who merely rolled their eyes when he insisted the day would come he had to leave. A beautiful boy named Taehyung was one of them.
But Jungkook should have known he couldn't outrun destiny.
