That was the first thought that came into Robin’s mind when he first shot someone.
It was loud.
Robin was sixteen when he first killed a person.
He didn’t regret it ofcourse, the man was a monster.
No, it was the fact that he just killed another human being and Robin knew it wasn’t going to be the last. Even though he felt horrible after, he couldn’t forget what a thrill it gave him when he shot the guy, to stand there and take aim. It felt good to take this tiny piece of evil and remove it from the earth.
He now had control.

Rising from their woolen blanket spread over the forest floor, Edwin politely clasped his hands together. “I think I am going to turn in for the night, actually.”
Charles almost looked disappointed, though it was hard to pin anything down in the shifting lights of the fire. It was as though two different futures flickered over his face. In one, painted by the warm, orange glow softening Charles’ brow, and dipping into the inviting bow of his lips, Edwin saw a scene where he’d be allowed to pull Charles into bed with him. In another, cast by sharp shadows along his jaw, Edwin watched helplessly as Charles moved halfway across the world, and drifted further away every day.
“Right, I’m pretty tired myself. Won’t be far behind.” Charles said, and a selfish part of Edwin wanted to ask: but for how much longer?
Or, sometimes you just need a week long, post-university graduation camping trip to figure out the rest.

Summary
Charles had played sports his whole life.
Football, Cricket, Basketball, Rugby - he threw himself into all of it with a passion like no other, and he was good, very good.
Playing on Eastfield Community's Sixth Form Rugby team meant Charles, and his teammates, regularly practiced with and competed against local private boys school: St Hilarion's.
Charles didn't usually pay much attention to the opposing team.
