Summary
Gotham City was always seen as rotten to the core. Crime had seemed to be on the rise for as long as people had been living there. Though, recently there had been whispers in the criminal underworld. There was apparently a being referred to simply as "The Bat" roaming Gotham at night. As this Dark Knight rises in power, terrifying the average thug, the heads of the three main crime families ruling Gotham have begun to get desperate to be done with this "Bat". He had only begun to make appearances a few months ago, and there's no sign of him, only a message. A message that he won't let crime swallow his city.

Ginger Carnival, a short story AU about Jerome and Female Jerome’s childhood and adolescence in the circus as a fire dancer and an animal trainer and a stagehand, and how after being abused by their abusive, alcoholic, whore snake dancing mother, Lila Valeska, and after their secret incestuous affair gets found out, Jerome and Female Jerome, twin brother and twin sister, end up killing their own mother and everyone else at the circus, and end up getting away with it. One year later after their mother’s death, Jerome and Female Jerome end up killing all the other circus performers, including all the clowns, acrobats, and jugglers, and end up getting sent to Arkham Asylum, and they among other inmates are broken out and end up becoming a part of The Maniax. It takes place before and also during Gotham “Season 1” and “Season 2,” and the events taking place one year later than in the tv show “Gotham.” A short alternative universe story.
