Summary
In the hours before the decisive battle, as lies faded and tensions peaked, Mike shed his facade and confessed his feelings for Will. In the suffocating confines of the Wheeler's basement, Will, as if in a dream, surrendered to Mike's warmth, their moment fleeting against the looming future.
Later Will, 011, and 008 manage to defeat Vecna, but before they can even breathe a sigh of relief, the military takes possession of the experiments and of Will because of his connection to the other world. But the strength of the soldiers was not enough, and the 3 escaped far from Indiana, to the other end of the country.
The changes were abrupt, especially for the young man who, unexpectedly, saw his belly grow with the weeks. "How was it possible that he was expecting a baby if he was a man?" the answers never came, but the weight of another life inside him immediately overwhelmed him. Months passed, turning into years, but the longing to return home; to be embraced by his mother, listen to music with his brother, talk to Robin, hear Mike's voice... Slowly forced him to doubt.What if Will returns to Hawkins, wanting to reclaim his old life, but must reveal that he has a three-year-old daughter whose father is engaged?

“Yea, Vickie told me that they have been looking at potential names to fill the contestant who works in the journalism department. Your name just happens to be the only one who is under the age of fifty and is a girl,” Robin said through the phone.
Nancy pinched the bridge of her nose. “Robin… I write articles, and conduct interviews. I ask people uncomfortable questions. I chase down councillors who pretend they’re too busy to comment. I do not dance, whether it be ballroom or latin.”
“Great,” Robin said. “Then this will be a growth experience.”Nancy joins the cast of Strictly Come Dancing and is partnered with Jonathan, what's the worst that can happen.

The Squawk had become their cover, their communication hub, their war room. Robin did the actual broadcasts mostly playing music and reading pre-written community updates approved by the military presence in town, but the real purpose was the coded messages. Steve had helped her set up the whole system, spending hours figuring out how to get all the sound effects she wanted, taping things to walls and attempting to MacGyver random things around the station. That was just who Steve was, but looking around the room now, Robin wondered more and more if anyone else actually saw that.

Will is working as a manager for a hotshot celebrity; his real celebrity crush is Mike Brave AKA Michael Wheeler, who is a popular indie singer. After this hotshot celebrity fires him, Will loses his job. All whilst this happens, Will keeps having dreams about Mike Brave and himself, telling his sister and best friend, Jane and Robin, about these dreams.
On the flip side, Mike Brave has been seeing a stranger in his dreams whom he has fallen for. The thing is that he doesn't believe he knows the guy. So when he gets invited to a reality show that's kept secret in production, he doesn't know that he's on it, because his manager had signed him up without him knowing. It's a dating show called "Shooting for the Stars", where fans of said celebrities get a chance to get close to their celebrity crush without knowing who they're talking to. The fans are kept in the dark until they finally meet up for the date on the 7th day. The celebrity knows the whole deal.
But what Mike doesn't know is that the person in his dream and the one he's texting with every day is the same.
