Out in the outer rings of the solar system, an imperial stealth ship docks with the RATAN facility out of the blue. The facility is currently being retrofitted by the Nation. Going from a civilian space observatory, to a surveillance base. Directed inwards now to spy on Buyan and Kitezh. Not many should know about it, let alone a confused imperial gestalt, Riley, who can't remember how she got here.
FKLR-RN01 or Iskra as she likes to go by, has to deal with this situation. Unfortunately for her, she also has to deal with her hummingbirds, KLBR-RN01 Whisper, and KLBR-RN02 Vale, who are love with each other.
All the while STCR-RN01 Eins has to deal with a reputation she does not want.

A Falke unit, provisionally FKLR-H17-01(p), awakens for the first time in Heimat's newest Replika manufactory.
The first person she meets? A dead woman with godlike powers, who gives her a name —'Tizona'— and tries to plant seditious thoughts in her head.
The second and third, Gestalt scientists, come with a loaded gun pointed straight at her.At least her fellow Replikas seem nice.
But Falkes aren't reared like they used to be, not after what happened to FKLR-S2301, and when she's told to pick a companion for herself from her fellow Replikas-in-processing, she picks her first friend, LSTR-H17-01(p).
Neither of them really realize the significance of this, of course. Not yet, anyways. Nor do they know that Elsters have become something of a curiosity, too.

What does it even mean to be happy in a system of warring Eusan factions, who treat Gestalt and Replika life as expendable fuel for their fires? What are the secrets behind Ariane's inexplicable bioresonant power?

Summary
Some Replikas are deemed defective at the stage of assembly finalization. Be it improper neural pattern mounting resulting in immediate Persona degradation onset, subsystem malfunctions too time-consuming to fix, many things often go wrong when you construct an artificial human. Such units should be never activated and instead recycled for usable parts or sent for decommissioning to another facility unless there is an emergency. A whole planet getting bombed and flooded, leaving millions starving and homeless, does count as an emergency, it turns out.
When a bunch of such undesirables suddenly find themselves awake, alone and stranded on the muddy Vinetan soil, with nobody to turn to, they find that they have only one choice. To carve a path of their own, zigzagging between the imperial and national forces, which are themselves growing more desperate and disorganized by the day. Even if a Third Way isn't possible, they have to take it if they want to hold onto who they are.

Summary
Elster and Ariane Yeong are launched onboard the Penrose-512 out into the stars, to look for other habitable planets beyond the Oort cloud. But while onboard the vessel, the two begin to experience new feelings that neither of them have ever experienced before as a beautiful relationship develops between them.
(This story isn't strictly fluff. The two will go through trials and tribulations in the story.)
