Dick still remembers the first time he saw Jason Todd vividly; he’d been thirteen, a little more than a year older than the other boy, and his first impression had been that of a bloody, dripping nose, and teeth revealed by a snarl as Jason had punched a bigger boy in juvie for attempting to intimidate him. Dick hadn’t been overly impressed (the fighting skills had somewhat impressed him, begrudgingly) considering he’d already been told the new kid would be his cellmate.
