It was a normal summer... until it wasn't. Sunny had come out of his house for the first time in forever, and had been dragged across the town for the entire day.
They were in the church, Aubrey was 2 seconds from running out, when a deafening boom was heard from the graveyard. It was definitely lightning, but it was a cloudless day.
Despite the ongoing fight, Sunny separated from the two, still out of his right mind... but he saw it.
Something was staring back at him, poking out from the stump that lay behind Mari's grave, it's catlike eye staring straight at him.
Surprisingly, that wasn't the reason Sunny had frozen in place. It was the girl in front of it.
Long black hair, and peachy skin tone with a slight blush under her dark eyes, so full of life, 4 years older.
A face he hasn't seen in 4 years, but didn't remember the reason why.
Sunny didn't hear the church door slamming open behind him. Nor did he register the shocked gasp of the pink haired Aubrey behind him. But he did register the words from her mouth.
"M-Mari..? You... You came back..?"
