“Oh, god. I know what you’re doing,” Ouji whispered, breathless.
Arafune laughed. “I’d be more worried if you didn’t.”
Because of course Ouji knew what he was doing. Ouji knew everything about him; he knew how all of his sentences would end and he knew all of his favorite movies and exactly how he preferred his tea and what side of the bed Arafune thought was more comfortable and the route of his jogs and the way his lips would twitch before he laughed. Ouji knew everything about him–it’s why they were here together, in their shared apartment, watching the same schlocky action flick for the millionth time, in the company of a man who knew him in every way a person could be known.
Alternatively: Arafune has a secret. Ouji wants to know what it is.

Ouji was uncapping the tube as he spoke, long lashes catching the light just right as he looked down, watching his own hands moving.
Tetsuji wanted to ask him how it was possible for any one person to be so beautiful. What it was like to move and breathe and exist as if you'd just stepped out of some kind of painting.
"I didn't try it," he said instead. "I don't really wear makeup."
Ouji quirked a brow at him, lifting his gaze as he passed the tip along pursed lips. Painting them with sickly sweet strawberry, a bright sheen of red-pink daring Tetsuji to look anywhere but the tempting mouth before him. He hadn't noticed it before, but the light of the hallway made it easier to see--Ouji's gloss had glitter. It was mesmerizing.
"I see," he said as he finished. Tetsuji snapped his eyes to Ouji's as the other spoke. They crinkled with another smile. "More your girlfriend's thing, then? Does she like flavored gloss, too?"
"I don't have a girlfriend. I haven't really been interested in dating."
