“Are we actually doing this?” Fleury asks eagerly, shit-eating grin on his face. He watches as Sid posts a copy of the roster to a board inside the locker room.
Sid sighs. “Dumo and Rusty convinced me we have to,” he says. “For, like, charity. Or something.”
Tanger raises an eyebrow. “How does not… you know. How does that help charity?”
Dumo steps in quickly. “It raises awareness! Prostate cancer kills!”
“Ok, but we’re not telling anyone about this,” Sid rushes to say. “Like, this absolutely has to stay in the locker room, you get that, right?”
Bryan rolls his eyes. “Obviously, Croz.”
“So how does this… whatever. You all want to do this, be my guest,” Sid says.
“No, no, captain must participate too,” Geno pipes in. “How else will team bond?”
“Fine,” Sid says unhappily. “I’ll do it too.”

“Wait! Hardware?” Tyler looks back propping up an eyebrow.
“Road! Tyler! Watch the fucking road!” Jamie barks from the passenger seat. Justin and Olli laugh from the back.

Summary
Justin's move from Edmonton to Pittsburgh marks a clean slate for him, but his time in Edmonton left its scars. Olli is a little bit of a misfit on the team, he's not quite a rookie but he doesn't have a family either. After his best friend was traded to Toronto, there's been an unfilled hole in his life.
As Justin finds his home in Pittsburgh, he also finds a warm friendship with Olli. Together they seek redemption and chase after a Stanley Cup, discovering along the way that their chemistry on and off the ice might better translate into a relationship.

Summary
It just so happens that Olli and Justin get injured in the same game. For Olli, it's a broken hand and for Justin it's a concussion. Justin rejoins the team, though, just before the Western Canada road trip and leaves a healing Olli behind. It turns out, though Olli, was still reeling from the Winnipeg game, just not in a way that Justin had expected.
Pretty much how Olli and Justin handle returning from being hurt and the worries that come with being in a relationship. It's less angsty than it sounds, I promise.

But now he knew, and now Dumo was going to have to smile and say that it was alright, that he understood, that it was fine that he wasn't Shearsy’s type and Shearsy didn't want to rut with him.

After a rough game in Edmonton where Justin receives a frosty welcome, though, it's clear that Justin's upset, but he won't open up to Olli- he won't open up to anyone. But maybe, this time, Olli will be able to break throw Justin's remaining walls and comfort him for once.
