Aemond claims a dragon and then blames Aegon in the bloody aftermath. In his panic Aegon looks into the crowd and sees Stark bannermen. He sees an elderly women that shares features with his mother with Runes tattooed on her skin.
And so Aegon Targaryen invokes blood rites starting a chain of events that will end with a Prince of the Blood in the North changing the Dance of Dragons forever more.
