Tenko always knew he was quirkless. Even if the doctors refused to diagnose him (he had a distinct lack of an extra joint in his pinky-toe), and even if his mother kept telling him that he was just a 'late bloomer'. Tenko knew what he was, 100% undeniably without-a-doubt quirkless. Until he met All Might at least.

The only thing heroes ever did for me was get me in trouble with Father for even mentioning them, and it’s not like any of them ever saved me from this fresh hell I lived in. But- I couldn’t really blame them for that. It’s not as if I’m walking around advertising ‘I need help’. Plus, the only reason I never escaped this place was because I had nowhere to go- no one to turn to. I can’t exactly blame a hero for not saving me when I can’t even save myself.Maybe this could be the first step.
