Yassen Gregorovich has a child. Their name is Sonechka Gregorovich. They don't know their mother. They don't remember their father. Sone (pronounced so-nay) was abandoned deep in Siberia with a man known as Piotr Velementov who raised and trained them. Piotr abandoned Sone in Moscow when they were 13 with a mission to kill an MI6 operative. All that matters about Moscow is that Sone was taken in by Ian Rider and the Department, given a new identity, and a chance to do terrible things for a better cause. Everyone has told Sone that their father is dead for as long as they can remember. Six years later, someone finally told Sone otherwise.

19-year-old Matthew Smith successfully passes Selection for the British SAS and joins L-Unit, but not everyone seems to appreciate his company...at first. Maybe these people he swore he wouldn't get close to will become the family he needs...unless his enemies are closer than he thinks.
Includes K-Unit and Original Characters in L-Unit--K-Unit will appear around Chapter 16 or so (that's a ballpark) but I plan for this to be VERY long, so they're a very integral part of the story!

Summary
The thing about spies and children, is that they’re always watching.
Alex remembers the way his primary school teachers used to talk to Ian - their words deliberate and soft, the way they would indicate and motion with their eyes. The way she would say oh he’s doing so well and wave towards the english and science corner of the classroom, he’s made so many friends and her eyes would linger pointedly towards Tom and his parents.
It was the adults’ way of transferring intelligence. Trying, for all intents and purposes, to make sure the children didn’t understand the underlying conversation. Like the children watching wouldn’t notice the intense staring and gesturing.
