Pretty cliche, but it's the truth
For the first time, my heart feels quiet, and although I have been wishing for this very thing, I couldn't help but mourn the loss of my pain. There's a sense of melancholy, of quiet emptiness, like a place carved out of my heart that hasn't been filled yet. But the jagged edges of the shards of my broken heart are smoothing over, and maybe, piece by piece, it's even starting to mend itself.

Summary
Peter knows Tony doesn’t forget on purpose, and he knows that Tony means well with his concern. But, the man has to deal with the fact Peter isn’t a hero, and is in fact, a vigilante. If all he gets is a broken nose after a long night of patrol, Peter considers himself lucky.
A lot of vigilante things were lost on Tony, such as bad PR. Sure, the Avengers get some bad PR, but never J. Jonah. Jameson style, but then again, Spider-Man always had the best pictures, because Peter Parker gave them in for a bit of extra money.
There was some things you learn when you’re in Peter’s line of business, and that is, how to calm down a rape victim, how to help a lost child who doesn’t want help, who to punch harder than the rest, who are first time thieves, and that sometimes things like “don’t pull the knife out” is a rule best ignored, (unless it was somewhere bad bad).
You know Tony’s too far gone from the vigilante line of work, when it’s Pepper Potts, who tells Tony that a broken nose is the least of Peter’s worries, even though she too freaks out about it.Or;
5 times The Avengers (excluding Clint) forgot Peter Parker is a vigilante, and 1 time everyone remembered.

essentially, peter does cool stuff at stark industries and also there's a field trip fic in chapter 4, because everyone loves a field trip fic.

Then a pinch at his neck, like a bee sting, but deeper. Darkness. Then here.
Huh. Kidnapped. That’s new. If he was less emotionally dead from finals and sleep deprivation, he’d probably have a stronger and much more appropriate reaction to that.
At least he's got Captain America and the Winter Soldier to keep him company.
