Summary
It started as work. Yuuji saves lives—that’s what he does. That should’ve been the end of the story.
But the patient in Room 214 keeps pulling him back in.
Maybe it’s just that the man is lonely. That’s what Yuuji tells himself the first time he checks in off-duty. And then again the second time. And the third. It’s only fair, right? Someone’s got to make sure he’s getting the full inpatient experience. Flowers, a stuffed animal, and a homemade bento—rice bunnies and all.
But the more time he spends with Satoru, the more confusing things get.
Like why does he keep looking at Yuuji like that? Why does he keep calling him 'angel' like it means something? Why does Yuuji like it?
What begins as kindness quickly spirals into something Yuuji doesn't quite understand, but immediately wants more of it. He’s got a heart full of feelings, a bouquet of crushed flowers, and a new, slightly inconveniently timed realization about his own sexuality.
Good thing Satoru is here for it, even if he's the cause of it.

Summary
When fifteen year old Gojo Satoru meets a boy with pink hair in the alley behind a konbini, he immediately finds him annoying, attractive, but annoying. How dare the boy butt in on other people's business that way? Not to mention how stupid his hair is. Their second meeting proves that not only is the pink-haired boy annoying, but that he's an idiot, a total pushover, and unfortunately, still very attractive. Satoru had no idea that this annoying, idiotic, good-looking pushover of a boy would become his best friend, and eventually, his first love.

For a long drag, Yuuji’s mind is blissfully blank.
Then, he manages to croak, “What?”
“Gojo Satoru,” Shoko repeats slowly, as if Yuuji is daft, and right now he feels it, “Omegan head of the declining Gojo clan, strongest sorcerer in the world, and your old first year Sensei, has gone into heat for the first time in almost fifteen years.”
Opening his mouth, Yuuji almost chokes as his throat forces a swallow, dry walls sticking together.
“Oh,” he says faintly.

Nobara squinted at him. "Okay, but... are you actually dating though?"
Yuuji went very still, looking deeply uncomfortable as he wrestled with how much he was allowed to give away. “...Yes?" It came out like a question, barely above a whisper.
Nobara groaned, rubbing her temples. "Oh my god. You’re in a situationship and you don’t even know it. I should corner that bastard myself and sort this out."
OR: Yuuji thinks they've been together for awhile, meanwhile Satoru is still trying to work up the courage to ask his childhood best friend if he wants to be more. Toss in some whispered rumors, a wardrobe full of evidence, an accidental engagement, and you’ve got more mixed signals than a broken traffic light.
