    There was much to celebrate after defeating the Netherbrain and saving the City from the Cult of the Absolute. However, the victory was tainted with a sour taste.

    Despite having conducted a fruitful and genuine alliance as equals, the newly-appointed Archduke - Enver Gortash - did not survive the encounter with the Elder Brain.

    No redemption from all the evil he has done.
    No reward from all the suffering that led him to make every decision.

    After making sure that all the former companions had departed for their new destination, the Hero of Baldur's Gate asks for help from a trusted friend who, unable to help due to the lack of the ‘free and willing soul’ condition, clues her in on how she might carry out her plan.

    Perhaps the Wheel of Fate will forge ahead…
