Summary
A lot can change in a single night, it doesn't matter how bright.
Few know that better than the DuskWings, the scattered diaspora of the once great tribe of NightWings. Splinter may not be one of them, but his sons are, and he'll learn to change over and over again, if it means staying with them.
The Mad Dogz have always grown up on the outskirts, trained in the mysterious and totally boring ways of the Hamato line, but they aren't prepared to be thrust into the middle of the SandWings' war for power.
Animus Magic has been long forgotten, left over only in remnants of mystic power, tucked away on a floating land that no ordinary dragon can find. Darkstalker never existed, NightWings don't get their power from the moon, and they aren't living on a volcano. Oasis dies anyways, and there are still dragonets to save the day.

Summary
Here's my own story with ARFID/something similar enough that I wrote because it's so nice to see the kind of content I can relate to. You get to have that now.
Unless you don't know what ARFID is, in which case, all the more reason to read?
It'll be my best attempt at codifying my own repulsion with certain foods, my safe foods/moods, and the way I've had my family react to my increasingly accurate descriptions of how I feel. My own experiences aren't as terrible as they could have been, by any means, but even if what I've felt hasn't been very extreme, it is certainly an opinion I feel like sharing.
I'd love to see others' reactions or stories and please, if I, at any point, appear to be wrong about anything, push back. I have no real frame of reference!

So, he was dead. He was lingering. He supposed that he was panicking, that he was floundering, that he was perhaps even dissociating, but could one experience any of those things, truly, if one were dead?

They let him out of the cell, though Goro could feel Sakamoto’s suspicious gaze on him the entire time. Meanwhile, Akira was looking at him like- God. He looked at him like an adoring fool, quite frankly. Like he’d just been handed the biggest fucking gift for christmas.
“What?” he hissed at him, hoping to deter what was doubtlessly the budding dreams and hopes of a notorious cat adopter.
To his horror and only mild surprise, Akira looked only even more endeared.
Akechi gets a second chance at life. He only wished he hadn't had to get it as a cat.

It was weird how sad this boy's smile turned all of a sudden.
