‘’Quiet Sunday afternoon?’’ Buck chuckles. ‘’When on Earth do you and Christopher have quiet Sunday afternoons? You usually blast aliens on the TV or play Mario Kart.’’
Eddie pouts. ‘’Hey, that’s quiet.’’
‘’Sure,’’ Buck smirks.
‘’Don’t be smug. Not everyone can be a master chef like you.’’
Buck leaves the knife on the board and turns to Eddie, faking offence. ‘’What? Me, a master chef? If you haven’t noticed I’m scared shitless I won’t recognize when the dish is done because Pepa keeps saying ‘it’s over until it’s over’ and ‘just a cup of flour’ but when I ask which cup she says ‘the blue one’. The blue one is not a measuring unit Eddie. I literally have no idea what I’m doing.’’
Eddie shrugs his shoulders then lifts a piece of carrot he just peeled to Buck’s mouth so he can snack on it. ‘’You’re doing fine. I’m on peeling duty. You’re on seasoning duty.’’

It was supposed to be a good day.
"Diaz! Need someone on that ladder!" Bobby shouted over the pouring rain.
"On it, Cap!" Buck replied, already making his way up.
Flames soared high out of the building's shattered windows, rampaging despite the extensive downpour of ice cold rain.
Surely it's common knowledge that metal is an excellent conductor of electricity. Metal has plenty of free atoms for lightning to bond with and Buck was practically begging to be struck just standing on top of that ladder.

“hey, hey, can you hear me?” Eddie tried to catch the look in the man's eyes, which flew anywhere around him until it fixated on Eddie and decided not to leave just yet
.“wow, shirtless so fast and i didnt even get your name” Buck ignored entirely the question Eddie just asked. He tried to move his head out of instinct, but suddenly stopped when he realized the reason he was left without his shirt.
“Im Eddie Diaz, I was a paramedic. You were hurt and I'm here to help you but firefighters will be here soon. Don't move your head, it's dangerous, and don't flatter yourself”, Eddie was more focused on keeping him awake until help arrives. He placed himself behind Buck's head and lifted him a little higher so he wouldn't choke on his own blood. “How are you even conscious? Does it hurt?”
