Hot tears dripped from his eyes as his stomach clenched and his body spasmed. Vomit. Bile. Blood. Lavender. His throat burned. His head pounded. And the rest of his body shook uncontrollably. He hated this. He hated it. He hated it. Everything. He just wanted it to stop. Why couldn’t it just stop?

[“I had… depression before I was turned.” Scott admitted.
“Oh.” That didn’t seem to be the answer Owen was expecting.
“It’s why I… have blue hair, it’s why I paid someone to turn me and it’s why I loved being a vampire.” He said.
“It cured it for you.” Owen realised.
“The power made me feel alive, I could be me.” He stared at the shadows that no longer welcomed him as one of their own, instead it felt like they were closing in on him, preying on his senses and infecting his body.
“I’m surprised you reverted back.” Owen said honestly. “I didn’t regain the disease on my skin after being cured.”
Scott glanced at him. “You said your skin was irritated.”
“Well yeah, but it’s nothing like what I dealt with before.” He said.]---

Summary
After Avid's betrayal of the town, everyone starts bickering. The town's doctor leaves, needing some time to himself. While he's out he decides to see if it's possible to get through the fog surrounding the area. His attempt is unsuccessful, and he nearly freezes to death. He wakes up in the castle with two vampires that are eager to care for him and refuse to accept his view that he doesn't deserve to be loved.
What he'll never know is that they don't have plans of letting him go.
