Summary
This wasn't the first time someone had discovered their bending abilities didn't align with their origins. Love always found a way after all and genes could often stay dormant. The Spirits loved to play a joke on humans and reveal generational secrets at the worst times possible.
The gaang has finally made it to Ba Sing Se. Unfortunately speaking to the King proved much more difficult than they had anticipated. Meanwhile they have to deal with finding Appa, the city's strange atmosphere and the feeling of being watched, and Sokka's newly found bender problem.
Meanwhile Zuko is handed the perfect opportunity to get his ticket home by helping out a certain bender.

Summary
Every 100 years, a child in the southernmost region of the world is born to inherit the spirit of Bane’s will; the ability to bloodbend even without the full moon’s aid. When Sokka is drawn by the spirits' whispers, its power is forced upon him without his consent or recollection of what occurred afterward.
When reports of the legendary spirit terrorizing both the southern and northern water tribes begin to pop up, Sokka, unsure of what his new abilities may entail for him, journeys across the world alongside his allies to find an answer for what exactly happened to him and why it happened to him of all people.
But, when both Aang and Zuko begin to sense that there is something different about their friend, tension arises amongst them for better or for worse.

Summary
Instead of Sokka leaving with Katara and Aang at Kyoshi island, Suki goes with them while Sokka gets captured by Zuko. Zuko wants to use Sokka to find the Avatar while Sokka is trying to plan his escape. What neither expect is for the news of Sokka’s capture to quickly become news of the Fire Nation’s prince’s betrothal to the Southern Water Tribe’s princess. After an encounter with Zhao, the two decide its much more beneficial for both of them to pretend it's true.
