Summary
“How many times have I told you to just tell him how you feel?”
But Minho couldn’t. He never could. Or else their friendship would be forever changed.
“We’re just friends, Hyunjin.”
That was always Minho’s response whenever the topic came up.
“You’re just friends. Right. That’s why he sulked all week, staring at his phone and waiting for you to call. Because he sees you as just a friend.”
or Minho and Jisung are best friends, and they’re both too afraid to let their deeper feelings ruin that—until one of them finally breaks.

Summary
When playing side by side, Minho and Jisung were unstoppable, rolling through the motions with such ease, that one could argue they had played together since they started as children. Jisung trusted Minho’s plans, followed his signals for serving strategies, and matched the level of intensity the older man was known to have. Playing with Jisung was the most at home he had felt since transferring, and it is ironic that this is the same person who constantly makes him feel as unwelcomed as possible.
Or: Lee Minho is a star tennis player trying to start fresh, pretending like the previous year never happened. Han Jisung is a loud mouth, nosy guy who just can't seem to leave Minho alone.

Summary
When Minho first meets Jisung, he’s been given six months to live.
“Could be a year, if he’s lucky,” says Chan, the man who answers the door for Minho and introduces himself as Jisung’s best friend.
Jisung, the tiny, wisp of a thing sitting in a wheelchair with a pink beanie on his head and a green knit blanket covering his lap, smiles mildly. “Channie’s an optimist,” he says. He waits until the other man walks into a different room to add, “I’ve never been lucky.”
(Or: Jisung is dying. Minho gets hired as his death doula.)

Jisung’s lungs are failing. His time is running out. But if the world won’t give him forever, he’ll take what moments he can even if it means pretending to be just another student, just another face in the crowd. What he doesn’t expect is Lee Minho: the boy who starts with a bet and ends up seeing Jisung in ways no one else ever has.

Summary
“Jisung-ssi,” Minho breathes, voice barely audible over the weight of the world pushing down on him. “I know this sounds crazy, but do you believe in fate?”
Jisung smiles and it’s genuine. “No. But you do.”
Minho snorts and sits back in his chair, surprised at the certainty in which Jisung speaks. “I think you’re pushing your luck.”
“I don’t think it’s luck.”
“So it is fate,” Minho teases, cocking his head. He picks up his notepad and takes his pen out from behind his ear, underlining the word ‘romantic’ with two tight lines.
“No,” Jisung says again, big eyes turning sad. “I think things just happen. Even when they’re not supposed to.”
(OR: Minho and Jisung find each other in every life, even when the universe doesn't want them to. It does everything to stop them and they do everything to keep going.)
