They want him to fight in the war But when does anything with Brian go after the plan. The wizarding world is in for a chock when they meet Brian Kinney. He slowly starts to transform the life of Harry Potter as he realizes that he doesn't have to be anybody pawn anymore.

Between his dad and Scott, he’d learned a lot about the game, and he’d certainly watched enough to recognize some of the more famous players. So when he looked across the hall at the offending door, he absolutely recognized Ilya fucking Rozanov standing in the hallway, looking at him.
Shane Hollander’s door clicked shut behind Rozanov, and neither of them moved.

"It just works better like that. Taking his mind off of the logistics and the meaning of it all and the implications lets him put that focus to better work on the actual thing he cares about: hockey. It really isn’t that different from outsourcing his branding to Mom, or any less embarrassing than his dietician meal prepping for him or his trainer mapping out his workout plan. They’re experts in their field, nutrition and marketing and fucking. Shane is an expert in his: taking all that into his body and using it to be fucking awesome at hockey. It’s win, win, win.
Meals get delivered at his door. Room numbers and plans get texted to him. And appointments with photographers get emailed with subject lines reminding him to remember to use the good shampoo in his hair before them.
He’s still in control in the sense he’s letting it all happen for him, except that sometimes, especially at these stupid fucking photoshoots, it feels a little bit like it’s happening to him, instead."
Shane gets into a bad situation with a photographer who has pictures Shane would rather not get out. Ilya and Rose find out about it, eventually.
