His eyes lit up when he met Leo’s. “Leo, Leo, hey. Can you tell me what happened? How are you feeling?”
“Not good. Somethings wrong.” He mumbled.
Or, Leo doesn't realize he has a concussion.

Summary
Roche limit: the distance from a celestial body within which a second celestial body, held together only by its own force of gravity, will disintegrate because the first body's tidal forces exceed the second body's self-gravitation.
As the distance between the Hail Mary and Erid shrinks, as the language and cultural barriers disappear, Grace's health deteriorates and Rocky's worries skyrocket. Scurvy, cabin fever, malnutrition, tension and arguments – their friendship is put to the test when they are faced with challenges they cannot science their way out of. When a sudden Taumoeba emergency disrupts their journey just as they are about to reach Erid's radio range, they are forced to take a detour to Threeworld's Petrova-line to prevent Grace from starving to death. Dad didn't answer this time, busy rubbing the corners of his eyes as if he was seriously considering picking them out once and for all and never having to look at Leo or any of his brothers again. But since he made that face an average of three times a day, no one was impressed anymore.

Rocky. I can’t put this all on the guy right now. He should be happy. We are going to Erid. We are going to save his planet.
“CBC. A complete blood count.” I answer, hoping he doesn’t ask me why.
“Purpose, question?”
Rocky, please. I’m trying to spare you right now.
Basically, Grace gets exposed to a dangerous amount of radiation during an EVA and doesn't want to tell Rocky bc of what happened to Rocky's crew <3
THIS IS A REWORKED VERSION OF "TEMPEST" - after some comments, I wanted to keep the soul of the story, but make it more scientifically plausible. While there are still probably some inaccuracies, I still hope this isn't as messy as before.
