Tim just sighed. He didn’t want to deal with a paranoid Batman right now. Emotion bled into his tone. “Look, that doesn’t matter right now. It’ll all make sense in a moment.” He had to really resist the urge to press his palms into his eye sockets, anything to quell the incoming headache. “Just, please, last night you were in Gotham on a typical patrol, and now you’re here, with nothing in between? Nothing at all?”

Tim grieved for his family, moved on, and became an adult. It had been eight years after all.
But now they were back. Very suddenly.
He hadn't slept enough to deal with time travel bullshit.

Summary
Getting good grades, writing his personal statement, finding glowing references, everything about the college application process had been easy. Methodical. Until this point.
Tim didn't know why he couldn't book his flight, why he had been staring at the landing page as his coffee had slowly grown cold. Maybe he couldn't go ahead with this. Maybe he just needed someone to stop him.
OR
Tim decides his time with the Waynes has run out and that the only way to move on is by running away to university. Bruce disagrees.

He should’ve expected the fist that came flying at his face, but it always takes him by surprise. Heat and pain blooms under his eye, but he barely feels it, slightly numb. So instead, Tim pounces.

He’d broken a statue. He drew in a deep breath, trying to still his heart, which was suddenly pounding like he’d just completed the training course in the batcave.
You’re resourceful; you can figure out a way to fix this, he told himself. But then he received another crushing blow — the cardboard box that had fallen was marked in Alfred’s neat handwriting. Martha’s study, it read.
A small, broken sound escaped from Tim — he’d destroyed something that had belonged to Bruce’s mom!
