Summary
Newton Isaac is set to inherit his stepfather’s business once he marries Teresa Paige. The plan is simple: marry the girl, then take over Crank Palace and Wicked. This was the life he was promised as a child and now he was here, about to be the next billionaire of the century. But he never wanted this – it wasn’t supposed to be this way. But he’s willing to sacrifice what he wanted so his family, especially Janson, will be proud.
But his confidence for the decision comes crashing down when he comes face to face with his future brother-in-law.
Thomas Paige left his mother’s business years ago. Now he has his own life and is trying to find full happiness, keeping contact with his family only since he can't find the courage to leave them fully. He never missed the toxic world he escaped though, living in his new life while trying to find someone that would love him for him.
He wants nothing to do with the environment and his family's world, until he sees exactly who his sister's fiancé is.

That is until Katie brings them together, Thomas's little sister he's raising in the motel room, away from the places that haunt him forever and Newt's new student that he wants to know more about. When Thomas sends his little sister to Right Arm school for kids with special needs, he doesn't know how his life will change for the better. Summary
Newt is forced to return to school after being out due to a leg injury, one that has changed his entire life. He starts to think that nothing will ever go back to the way it was after his attempt, until he gets an offer from the High School's coach, Vince, and Newt starts to think that maybe he has a chance. Well, if it weren't for the insufferable star player, Thomas Greene, who is determined to make Newt's life a living hell if he doesn't quit the team.
It does not go as expected ;)
OR: Thomas and Newt are rivals on the basketball team when Thomas realizes there's a lot more to life than winning a game. Now he has to learn to leave his old life behind in order to move forward.

After Newt's final encounter with Thomas, everything should have ended there. But Newt, being incredibly (or terribly) lucky, survives the gunshot, and now all that gnaws at him are the words he said to Thomas.
