Summary
He hadn’t recognised him, so used to the bone-white hair that had framed his face for so long that the familiar dark curls seemed to him almost like a half-forgotten memory. His eyes were brown again; the only red that remained was the remnant of tears half-wiped away against his cheek.
That was about all Legundo had time to think, before Owen lunged at him.

After he dies, Legundo wakes up.

"Sire is taking care of very important business." Says Pyro.
"Which is?" Asks Martyn.
"A divorce." Says Apo sarcastically. Pyro nods his head- wait what?! Martyn looks like he's about to scream. Another bat is flying towards them.
"A divorce?" Asks Legs and Pyro nods his head. That's what they're going with now.Have you ever wanted to see Scott get an axe thrown at his head? Have you ever wanted to see Owen get hit in the face with a tree branch? Have you ever wanted to see the two main vampires beat the shit out of each other? With no ship?
And with fluff at the end with a bit of manipulation?

Summary
Avid babbles something, probably a plea, as Owen pushes the stake down. He gasps, sobbing, as pain unlike anything he’s ever felt surges through his chest. It’s worse than dying, he knows dying, this is… this is…
Erasure.
“Stop- Stop!” Avid cries, but he knows it’s useless. It’s too late.
Owen just looks at him, with dark eyes, and the stake sinks through his chest.
And-
And…
There’s a voice, something distant and feminine. Powerful.
“It’s not your time. Not yet.”
And he’s gone.
———
Or, in which Avid dies and then wakes up in the past, during his very first day in Oakhurst. He’s not very happy about it. (Oh, and he’s still a vampire.)

Summary
In the quiet stillness of the middle of the woods, Legundo just stayed silent as he let Owen let out apologies for a man who’d been gone for centuries. It’s the way that Owen trembles in his arms, the way he hides away his sobs in his chest, that made the realization of just how much his sire had meant to him.
“I follow no sire,” Owen had said, the venom in his voice before wasn’t out of anger from the conversation, it was more akin to something like mourning, Legundo realized far too late.

Or: Owen has a breakdown, Legundo picks up the pieces
