Dr Beetle went on a trip to Paris, and took Agatha with him, where she met and made friends with, amongst others, Tarvek and Gilgamesh.
Unfortunately, that meant that when Gilgamesh had a great idea involving making Spark alcohol, she was his other test subject, leading to a very embarassing morning and apologies on both sides for the two of them.
Shortly afterwards, he left Paris.
Nine months later, William Gilgamesh Clay was born.Or: Agatha as a teenage mother.

While the Valar were figuring out how to read a calendar, Freya did the math. She got to review the homework before taking the test this time, which was nice, but that made the most likely endgame obvious. She knew from the second she offered to do it that reverse fetch-questing an evil ring was going to be rough. She was trying anyway. Because she was very, very stupid.
She expected to pay a high price for the chance to stay.
She didn’t expect there to be an extra cost at the end.
Or for them to both pay it.

Part 2 of son of a - (lord of the rings transmigration with language barrier, young modern tolkien fan/amateur scholar dropped by the valar with no info or warning guides the company through the hobbit.)
After a harrowing journey,the ring is destroyed. But so are it's bearers. How will they go on when no convenient eagles are coming to whisk them off to convalescence???
Top notes so far are determination, love, and a certain unwillingness for bow to fate (or in this case valar offering easy outs) -
