Summary
The nation of Inazuma was ruled by queen Raiden Ei and her son, Prince Kunikuzushi. The royal family had watched over Inazuma for all of eternity — no one could overthrow them due to the mystical powers they held.
When the Prince called for a wife, Kaedehara Kazuha didn’t expect to fall into that role. But his parents were desperate; they needed to save their clan from collapsing, and marrying Kazuha off to the Shogunate was their best bet.
Kazuha was forced into a marriage he didn’t want, and though he did his best to be a good bride, he couldn’t help but long for freedom.

“Tomioka, really-” Iguro kept objecting, until he realized what it really meant. Tomioka wasn’t curious about what was under the bandages or about the foul blood. Or if he was, he wasn’t going to get into Iguro’s face about it or treating him differently. He was going to respect Iguro and let him eat in peace.
Was that what normal people were supposed to do? Tomioka just seemed so 𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘭, acting like any everyday person would, respecting Iguro, not trying to force-feed him but genuinely looking out for his health and hunger.

Story concept: Obanai meets Tomioka instead of Mitsuri in the Ubuyashiki estate, and his total lack of reaction to Obanai has the same catnip effect, leading to Obanai fixating on Tomioka.

basically i take that and make an entire canon rewrite while having sanegiyuu and obamitsu running in the background, along with some good old giyuu-mitsuri friendship added to the mix. theyre so silly i love them.

Kaveh sighs again, and this time his features knit together and he squeezes his eyes shut. “Can you stop being clinical for two minutes and hear what I’m actually asking you?”
“I am listening.” It’s true. “And I do understand.”
“Do you, now?”
“I do.”
Kaveh pinches the bridge of his nose. The frustration there isn’t feigned or overblown—it’s real, deep in the lines of his face and the tension drawing his shoulders. “I’d want you to be here,” he says again, but quieter.
“I will be here,” Alhaitham answers. “And it’ll be with the cure.”
When an expedition gone wrong leaves Kaveh with three days to live, Alhaitham and Cyno fight to find the cure while Tighnari fights to buy them time.
