Summary
He can’t live properly, not with this endless well of fear inside him. He wants them close, needs them close at all times and he doesn’t even remember when that started, not when he used to be the exact opposite before. The easy answer would be that it started after Jason’s death, but even that is simplifying it. Even that horrifying memory of learning of Jason’s death, of having to live with all that it meant, is not enough to explain this dependence, this constant fear of the future, the absolute certainty that if something were to happen to any of his siblings he would lose himself completely, his mind frozen in an endless scream.

Follows chapter 6 of the book. Patroclus tells Achilles of the murder of Clysonymus. Unfortunately, nightmares are never far behind.

“Would it be so difficult for you to accept him?” he asks desperately. “Everyone else has.” he kneels right next to the bed. He looks at Bruce, at his mentor. Mentor and mentor only, never father. Not when he was younger and certainly not now. He takes Bruce’s hand in his, squeezes it more than he should.
“He is such a good kid, Bruce.” He can feel his tears running down his face. “And he’s in so much pain.”
Bruce closes his eyes at that. He looks like he’s been hit.
Or, Dick learns of the batarang incident and confronts Bruce about it.

Summary
His anger seems so stupid now, as he looks at those hurt eyes. How could he have ever been so cruel, so careless. How has he fooled himself into thinking that he would be able to sacrifice those beautiful sweet eyes, just so the Achaean warriors could live. Does that not make him a murderer too? One worse than Achilles. Worse, so much worse.
He hates himself. He hates himself so much he is afraid he’ll choke on it. He hates himself for loving him, for hurting him, for not loving him enough or loving him too much. There is no solution to this hatred, no end to this endless chasm inside him. It is only Achilles’ golden brilliance, his loving smile that has kept that darkness at bay and now? What happens now? Without Achilles, without his smile and laugh and love. He’d sooner die than hurt him again. He’d sooner die than let tears fall down that golden face. He’d sooner die than lose his love.
Takes place one day before Patroclus begs Achilles to let him fight in his place. Patroclus can't stand seeing all his comrades falling to their deaths while they do nothing to help them. It spirals from there.

Summary
He turns to look at him then, letting the wine-dark see fade away from his vision. “I hope you return to your home one day, Odysseus. To your wife and to your son. I hope you are still a man worthy of them when that happens.”
Takes place after they leave from Skyros. Odysseus has found them and they have now learnt of the prophecy. Perhaps in another world, one that wasn't as wretched as their own, Odysseus would have helped them get away, would have urged them to go and live their beautiful lives, to not sail to Troy, but not in this one.

Summary
Growing up is no progression, nor is it peaceful and natural. It is violent, perhaps one of the most violent transformations humans will ever go through in their lives. This series is inspired by the book “The Catcher in the Rye” by J.D. Salinger and it circulates around this theme. It starts with Bruce’s inability to see Jason as the son he lost and how this begins to affect everyone around them, especially Dick. It is a bit of an AU when it comes to the batfamily’s relationships with each other, but that is also up to everyone’s interpretation.
Every one of them is standing at the edge of the rye field, some are falling, some are keeping others from falling and some remain forever frozen at the edge.
(P.S. I do not use A.I. (I hate it in fact), and I do not want it used on my works either.)

Summary
On the fourth day, it becomes clear that Joe is organizing something—more muscle than usual, a few more Black Mask affiliates than there should be. The few glimpses of Joe that Dick gets, he’s on his phone, speaking rapidly and gesturing emphatically.
On the fifth day, everything is quiet. No one comes, no one goes.
On the sixth day, Tim calls Dick: they’re not sure where Jason is. And yeah, maybe that’s just normal, and they’re not panicking yet. But they’re not sure where he is. And they’re about to start looking.
And on the seventh day, Bruce shows up at his door with Jason standing next to him, pale and hacking out a cough, putting too much weight on Bruce’s shoulder, and says: “I need to ask you a favor.”
OR
Dick is supposed to be on a boring stakeout assignment. Jason complicates that.
