Potter's last year on Hogwarts was nothing but a rush. The young man was determined to become an Auror, and with just a year left in Hogwarts, Severus felt like he had to make a move. Anything, even a little scare in the dark, just to touch him. Maybe he'd stop there. Probably, he won't.
