“Why did you come here?” Lestat asked. He forced his voice not to break.
Louis shrugged again as if unaffected by his maker standing before him, a nonchalant smugness that dug at Lestat’s heart.
“Thought I would check on some things, make sure everything was perfect for our grand opening.” Louis began to walk towards Lestat like a tiger, perched in the grass, approaching his prey methodologically, deliberately. “Make sure the floors were all polished.”
Louis stopped a foot in front of Lestat’s face. His hungry eyes gazed upon Lestat’s wide blue stare, his clenched jaw, his tight neck, the curve of his corseted waist.
“Make sure everything has been put in its proper place.” Louis’ eyes met Lestat’s again, the tiger pouncing for the kill. “Like I always do with things that belong to me.”
OR
Louis doesn't like what he sees on his hotel's security cameras and decides to confront Lestat about it.
