Duncan Targaryen, Prince of Dragonstone, Heir the Iron Throne, freshly knighted after the Fourth Blackfyre Rebellion, accompanies his family on a royal progress – which any child of Aegon the Fifth knows is code for “If I spend another day sitting on that accursed chair listening to lords talk out of their arseholes, so help me I will set the city on fire.” Duncan completely understands how his father feels. And how his siblings feel, though they’re starting to confound him too as they all grow up.
But he has no idea what to feel about Lord Edwyle Stark.
He will not be the first black-haired Targaryen prince to find more trouble than he expected in the North. (Nor the last.)
