Summary
Loki takes the Tesseract to Thanos immediately after Surtur, and doesn't leave the Titan's grasp. Thor is relieved, and horrified, when, some months later, the Guardians find his brother alive...but not whole. Thanos has twisted Loki's mind awfully, and Thor is left to put the broken pieces of his sibling back together.

Summary

Loki had always been very good at deciding what mattered.
It was a survival skill, honed young and sharpened often: choose the important thing, discard the rest, and keep moving. Pain rarely made the cut. Pain was common, expected, easily rationalised. Pain was something you endured quietly, because reacting to it only invited questions, and questions—historically—had never ended well.
So when the blade slid between his ribs, low and to the left, slipping past bone with an unpleasant intimacy, Loki noticed it only long enough to register that it would be inconvenient later.

Robert "Robbie" Robertson died when Robert was only 13. From what, he has no clue, but all he knows is that Uncle Elliot is now his sole caretaker. Uncle Elliot had always been kinder to him than his father, giving him presents on Christmas and smiling at him like he was an actual person. Deep down, Robert knew that his father wasn't a good man, and when his Uncle Elliot asked him to get into his father's mech suit two weeks after his disappearance, Robert didn't have the heart to say no.

Summary
The figure… It's Robert. It has to be.
Waterboy tries to step back, but he stumbles on the wet floor, thudding into the shipping container beside him. Robert goes still.
His head jerks up, eyes rolling wildly to make contact. Bloodshot. He's crouched on the floor of the warehouse like an animal, low and cornered. Blood is splattered over his face, and as he lifts his head, Waterboy can tell it's streaked down his chin like he must have sunk his teeth into something and held on. When he bares his teeth, they've been licked clean.
He shakily, slowly, like the movement’s might provoke an attack, fumbles for his radio. “Guys? Uh- found- I. I Robert found- no, that's not. I found- uhm.”
(Warning changed to Mature because of the violence. Just to be safe, honestly.)
