Percy was bound to a prophecy, which meant that he practically came with an expiration date.
He might not live to see adulthood. He might not live to see sixteen, let alone any life his brain could picture. The Fates had probably already bookmarked the page where he died heroically or catastrophically or both.

Season two of Percy Jackson just wrapped, and I think we can all agree on one thing: this show deserves more episodes and way more runtime. With those 30 minute airtimes, so many moments fly by when they could have hit so much harder. So consider this story the unofficial "Snyder cut" (or Hawthorne Cut) of season two. Longer scenes, higher stakes, and all the character beats the tight runtime did not always have room for.
