Summary
"Imagine me deciding to feel bad about everything I’ve ever done, and then imagine what kind of life I’ll have. Because I’m not brave enough to live in some fucked up eighteen-hundreds-style purgatory. I’d rather die. There’s no one who wants me, and there’s no one who will. Which is exactly what someone like me deserves, isn’t it?" A story about a broken boy, who is learning how not to break everything else around him.

Summary
Soon to be eighteen, Ryder Scott lives in Syracuse, is a wannabe actor and coder, and is the son of a police officer. A year after the disappearances of his two favorite streamers and his favorite artist, there has been little police progress. No one is any closer to discovering who the culprit might be. Displeased, he decides to get to the bottom of it on his own.
With reluctant help from his timid girlfriend, he attempts to figure out who’s behind the elusive indie game that connects the cases. But when he gets his answer, he realizes he might’ve dug too far―and unwittingly dug a grave or two.
A short fictional suspense novel by Noëlle McHenry about a high schooler who becomes the next target of a ruthless serial killer. Sequel to Our Sick Obsessions.

Summary
Goro shuffles back onto his side of the bed—or what used to be his side, anyway. The whole bed is Ren's now. "I'm not forcing you into this, am I?"
"What?" Ren's voice is low and gruff and definitely guarded. "You're asking this now?"
"Just answer the question."
Ren pulls the pillow out from under Goro's head and shucks off the pillowcase. There's a wet spot on it from Goro's spit. "This is why we broke up," he says lightly.
Right. They broke up because they're both fundamentally incapable of being honest with themselves and each other. They get jealous. They self-sabotage. They play stupid games instead of communicating. They didn't even last a year, and now Goro has agonized over this for even longer than that. They're simply better when they're apart.
And still, somehow, every time he's in Ren's bed again, he cannot quite figure out how he ended up back here.
