Summary
Lucy, the only child of a Nord merchant family, has always wanted to be a mage. If she could, she'd quit the merchant's life, leave her damned hometown and join the College of Winterhold, but her steadfast parents have made it near impossible. Feeling like a caged bird, she escapes in stories and legends of magic until the most unexpected event plunges everything into chaos.
One autumn day, the Imperial Legion brings in another cart of death-sentenced prisoners to be executed. Among them sits a young, pink-haired man with the College's symbol embroidered into his robes. He casts Lucy a quick glance before they drag him to the block. When he lays his head down, a dragon appears from a cloudless sky, suddenly and without a warning. Almost as if fate brought it here this day after centuries of endless slumber.
In the blink of an eye, the lively town is turned into a smoldering ruin - and Lucy's life into ashes at the same. A mage, the one Lucy saw among the prisoners, saves her from the dragon's flames, and so begins an adventure which changes her life once and for all.

Summary
For the past seventeen years, the Earth has been scourged by an extraterrestrial alien race known as the Combine. The remaining humanity is bound in shackles while the planet is sapped from its precious resources. However, a covert group of rebels still persists, aiming to defeat the Combine and restore their freedom.
Natsu, a proficient Resistance soldier, helps escort citizens from the Combine-controlled City 17 into safer regions, while his older brother Zeref works restlessly in his laboratory to create a functioning teleport. If that succeeds, the evacuation operations would be much smoother, and Natsu and his team wouldn’t have to constantly put their lives at risk.
The process stands still until the missing piece is found and delivered to the team by a scientist named Lucy. But at the same time, long-lost forces awaken and join the fray, causing the Combine to launch a full-term attack for wiping out the Resistance. Let the war end in either total victory or their extinction – no further compromise shall they allow.

Summary
Fate is written in fire.
Phoenix, the Firebird, was the embodiment of fire. It was like no other Eikon, for this bird held the flames of rebirth within it. When Phoenix was thought to have perished, it laid to rest in a pyre of fire and let it burn away all it had once been. It was a complete, utter recreation of the divine bird, so devastatingly final that one could think the Phoenix to be truly gone.
The flames would roar all night, until there’s nothing left of the pyre but ash. The darkest hour would pass on in silence, only in the song of the nightingales, messengers between the worlds. All shall stand still and wait, drying their tears and surrendering to the trust of the miracle that’s about to unfold before their eyes.
For at dawnbreak, the Phoenix emerges anew from the ashes.

Summary
It’s all been shrouded in the dark, agonizing mist – there’s so much pain in me it’s blinding, yet instead of bright white, I can see nothing but black. Pain paints seas of crimson blood around me, stains my limbs in burning fire, and amongst it all, I’m alone, lost within my own mind. The battle is over, but the war still rages, and in this stillness, I’m finally facing what I’ve been fighting for so long. The loss, the loneliness that followed, and how I never truly realised how cold it got until I met you.

She lit the candles on windowsills where the last rays of the setting sun filtered through the dusty arched panes. The little flames added a golden shine to the fair, curly hair that framed her face, and I knew I could never get used to the sight. I followed right at her trail as she climbed up the stairway to light the candles at the chandelier too.

Hugo found it sad because he saw the potential Isagi had, the potential to rise to number two just like him. They shared the same sharp brain capable of dissecting the pitch with precise cuts, to understand it as no one else could. All Isagi had to do to achieve greatness was to stop struggling and swim with the stream, not against it.

She had always told me that it would be with my husband. My soulmate. Not with some guy I had just met. Not in the passenger seat of a beat-up Camaro. I wish she had told me that story instead of the fairy-tale.
