Summary
This song changed my life and healed something I didn’t know was broken. Watching The Black Phone reminded me of it, so I wrote this as a love letter to my thirteen year old self who thought I was too broken to be loved. In this universe, Robin was never kidnapped and never killed.
In this universe, Finney heals what was broken too. This story takes place in 1983, the year Holy Diver was released and the year Finney and Robin are 17 years old.

Finley Armando Blake dies in 1982 from asphyxiation on a frozen lake while trying to save his sister and boys that were killed long before he was even born.
He wakes up in 1973 with no memory of what had happened but with a sense of dread.
Or, A fix-it fic where a lot of things change and Finney and Gwen go to Alpine years after they do in canon.

She says it so quietly Jackie’s not sure she even heard it at all. Maybe it’s a post-almost-dying hallucination (is that a thing)? She chooses to believe that she did, if only for her own sanity.
She doesn’t feel okay. She’s never felt worse.
