Summary
“He seems… fine?” Song-shixiong sounded baffled. Dai He could relate. What was that all about.
Whatever it was, it probably counted as something he should be writing down. He thought for a moment, then scribbled, ‘Yue-shixiong woke up. Answered questions correctly. Noticed and unsheathed sword. Seemed to freeze up. Sheathed sword and passed out. Song-shixiong checked him and said he’s fine.’ Somehow. Dai He had no idea.

He can feel it against his back, rippling like a tide, so much intent twisted in so many directions it should be impossible for one not to feel it.
Across the room, the boy and his companions tense, warily assuming a fighting stance, but he doesn’t care. Can feel his ability to care about this boy, this fight, about anything being dragged away in the pull of the moonlight.

Vanitas learns the interior of the room by heart, exploring every inch of it in an attempt to not go crazy from boredom. He takes to watching the doors from a perch atop Ventus’ throne.
He’s not fully expecting anything to happen, but... something tells him that one day, someone is going to come through those doors.
He wonders how long it’s been.
He hoped Ventus’ friends come to get him soon. Maybe he can slip out then, get out of this monotonous place.
Surely they mean to come fetch Ventus.

He knew what was coming. He knew. He’d known, since the moment he’d taken out his eye (Really, an eye? To see into the future? How that had been the actual process still astounded him), but he’d kept himself from looking at the specifics until now.
It would happen, though, no matter if he looked or not. There wasn’t even a question of whether or not he would – in that moment that had granted him an initial impression of what was to come, he had known that he would record it, and to record it, he would have had to – will have to see it first.
It still wasn’t a pleasant thought. The Master had been delaying the inevitable.

Summary
He ground them down with his arm-flesh-teeth. He aimed for their hearts just like Mother taught him. But the worst part wasn't even how good they tasted. Not even when he couldn’t tell the Emperor's voice from his own.
It was how they became nameless before his hunger. Just scraps of flesh. Nothing of the people they once were. Rodya’s fear, Heathcliff’s anguish, Valencina’s rage—
None of it mattered when he began to eat.
