Arthur sighed in resignation. “Okay. What do we have to do?”
“What? Oh, I have no idea. Figure it out! That’s what you’re good at, right?”

Summary
A series of short fics exploring Grace and Rocky's friendship, among other things. (Each chapter is its own story; I just wanted to have them all in one place.)
Chapter 1: Rocky thinks humans are equally disgusting and cute. Somehow, through it all, Grace reminds him of home.
Chapter 2: Rocky can pick Grace up easily, and Rocky thinks it is very funny. Rocky and Grace tease each other.
Chapter 3: Eridians bring Grace their babies for him to see, and Grace learns about Eridian culture/religion. Grace is also bad at taking compliments.

Summary
Roche limit: the distance from a celestial body within which a second celestial body, held together only by its own force of gravity, will disintegrate because the first body's tidal forces exceed the second body's self-gravitation.
As the distance between the Hail Mary and Erid shrinks, as the language and cultural barriers disappear, Grace's health deteriorates and Rocky's worries skyrocket. Scurvy, cabin fever, malnutrition, tension and arguments – their friendship is put to the test when they are faced with challenges they cannot science their way out of. When a sudden Taumoeba emergency disrupts their journey just as they are about to reach Erid's radio range, they are forced to take a detour to Threeworld's Petrova-line to prevent Grace from starving to death. We sit there for a while. I don't know why Rocky hasn't left yet, or snapped at me again. He's so patient it drives me crazy sometimes. He's had a lot of practice with waiting, I guess, but I'm… not used to people making an effort to be patient with me, even before I decided to get a job working on the most time-crunch-y project imaginable.
(Or: Grace isn't doing well. Rocky's trying his best to fix it.)
